Aquire, Inc. Wins Honorable Mention in Blue Chip Enterprise Awards

IRVING, Texas - June 28, 2000 - Aquire, Inc., a leading provider of Web-based, organizational- charting software worldwide, received an honorable mention in this year's Blue Chip Enterprise Awards. The award recognizes successful small businesses that respond to challenges with sound business practices and a creative use of resources.
Aquire earned an honorable mention by growing from a small sales-training company in 1994 to a multimillion-dollar software company today. "We are proud to have been selected for an honorable mention in the Blue Chip Enterprise Awards," said Lois Melbourne, Aquire president and founder. "This honor recognizes our strong management team's response to the constant challenges in the ever-changing world of technology." The Blue Chip Enterprise Award, co-sponsored by the MassMutual Financial Group and the United States Chamber of Commerce, was created in 1990. This year's competition was by far the most competitive, sponsors say. The award gives the U.S. Chamber the opportunity to collect success stories to be used for the book "Insight and Inspiration: How Businesses Succeed," which narrates the struggles and victories of state and national winners. The book, published annually, is part of the Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative, which is intended to help small businesses learn from one another's experiences.
