Aquire Offers New Multilingual Versions of OrgPublisher for Intranets™
- German and French Versions of OrgPublisher Available Immediately -
IRVING, Texas - April 11, 2000 - Aquire, Inc. announced today French and German versions of OrgPublisher for Intranets™, the Web-based organizational charting software that allows companies worldwide to transform enterprise and enterprise resource planning (ERP) data into graphical, interactive management reports and organizational charts via a Web browser. "Offering German and French versions of OrgPublisher, in addition to English, furthers our global efforts while extending Web-based org charting for the growing number of international customers we serve," said Lois Melbourne, founder and president of Aquire Inc. "By giving customers the software in English, German and French, we extend their corporatewide efforts to quickly identify and interact with their colleagues, even if they are a continent away." International users of OrgPublisher say having multilingual versions of the software offers distinct advantages. SAP AG, a leading enterprise resource planning vendor headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, has used the English version of OrgPublisher since 1999, and charts more than 23,000 employees in 44 countries. It also partners with Aquire to offer Web-based org charting via its SAP HR module. "Until we discovered OrgPublisher, every department manager created organizational charts using different tools," said Heinz Wuerth, program director with SAP. "Now, all our SAP internal org charts are consistent, accurate and created automatically from our employee database. Having a German version of OrgPublisher is a great benefit for employees and customers who prefer the choice of creating org charts in German, English or both." OrgPublisher is Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)-compliant, allowing reports and org charts to be generated from data stored in virtually any database, including Microsoft Access, Oracle, SAP and SQL Server. It is also Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) compliant using a free utility. Reports and organizational charts can be viewed from a Web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, a Netscape plug-in or an ActiveX plug-in. A trial version of the product is free and may be downloaded from Aquire's Download Center. Minimum system requirements are a 486 personal computer, 16MB of RAM and 8MB of disk space running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT or 2000.
Pricing is based on the number of persons charted, starting at a list price of $1,000 for 100 persons charted. Individual quotes are available for charting needs beyond 20,000 persons charted. OrgPublisher's Personal Edition, which is for smaller companies wanting to manually create org charts is available for $450.
Aquire, Inc. is distributing its multilingual software through international resellers, specifically those in Germany, France and Quebec, Canada, while offering additional technical support services from its Irving, Texas, headquarters. "Our partners know their customers and markets so we're relying on their value-added insights to showcase the time and cost savings of Web-based org charting using OrgPublisher," said Melbourne. One such reseller focused on the German markets is BKC Braun, Kastner & Partner Consulting GmbH, based in Heidelberg, Germany. "We see OrgPublisher as a value-added, mission-critical solution for companies," said Andreas Fritz, head of products at BKC Braun, Kastner & Partner Consulting GmbH. "Any company with any significant number of locations and employees struggles with how to create accurate, timely org charts. Compound that with differences in language, culture and time zones, and the task is virtually impossible. With OrgPublisher, charts are created automatically by being integrated with virtually any employee database and then distributed via the Internet or intranets. A company can create org charts any time of day or night, choose the language of their choice and be assured it's accurate." Aquire, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise/ERP management reporting and organizational charting software. Aquire serves more than 450 customers in 25 different countries, with OrgPublisher being used to chart more than 1.1 million employees worldwide. This year, the company was named one of the fastest-growing companies in Dallas-Fort Worth, and expects to continue double-digit growth.
