The University of Chicago Hospitals, General Dynamics Electronics Systems and The Federal Bureau of Prisons Choose OrgPublisher for Intranets™ by Aquire, Inc.

IRVING, Texas - Aug. 30, 2000 - Aquire, Inc., a leading provider of web-based, organizational-charting software, announced today that the University of Chicago Hospitals, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and General Dynamics Electronic Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), have selected OrgPublisher for Intranets (to chart employees via corporate intranets).

The University of Chicago Hospitals is a 1,031-licensed-bed academic medical center that includes five facilities and is primarily based in the Hyde Park campus of the University of Chicago. The medical center was named one the 15 best hospitals in the United States this year by U.S. News & World Report in the magazine's annual survey of America's more than 6,000 hospitals.

In such a dynamic environment, keeping up with employees was becoming difficult for Debbie Jankiewicz, the employment specialist in the medical center information services department.

"We were charting our department's 70 employees in PowerPoint, but our structure was so large in certain areas that PowerPoint couldn't keep up," Jankiewicz said. "The information became outdated quickly, and when you'd try to remove someone, it wouldn't let you."

Jankiewicz downloaded the free, trial version of OrgPublisher and immediately appreciated how easy it was to use. "I figured it out myself, right away. I liked how easy it was in terms of adding and subtracting people, and I also liked the ability to insert photographs."

Another new customer is General Dynamics Electronics Systems (ES), headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., and a business unit of General Dynamics based in Falls Church, Va. ES employs about 1,400 people worldwide and has more than 40 years experience providing total systems solutions, with proven capabilities in all aspects of electronic signals monitoring, intelligence processing, information operations (IO), information assurance, imagery resource management and electronic warfare (EW). General Dynamics is a leader in shipbuilding and marine systems, land and amphibious combat systems, information systems and business aviation, and is a leading supplier of sophisticated defense systems to the United States and its allies.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, based in Washington D.C., includes 96 institutions, six regional offices, a central headquarters, three training centers and 29 community-corrections offices. The bureau was established in 1930 to professionalize the prison system, provide more progressive and humane care for federal inmates and centralize administration of the 11 federal prisons operating at that time.
