Aquire Releases OrgPublisher 6
- Customers Can Now Choose A New Fully Web-Based Thin Client or PluginX Rich Client Experience -

IRVING, Texas - August 16, 2004 — Aquire, Inc., an international provider of fully web-based organizational charting software solutions, today announced the availability of OrgPublisher™ 6. This product release is just one of many strategic announcements recently made by the company, including the release of OrgPublisher™ for SAP® solutions.

Aquire solutions help organizations address the business side of human resources data. Every organizational structure is different but all companies face similar business challenges everyday. Maintaining data integrity is a constant for all organizations, but often companies face more complex challenges such as managing indirect (matrix) reporting relationships or merger and acquisition activities. Prior to automated organizational charting solutions, companies of all sizes and specialties spent thousands of hours and dollars organizing, revising and updating org charts.

OrgPublisher for Intranets™, Aquire’s flagship product, uses existing human resource data from virtually any data source to automatically generate secure, web-based org charts containing as little as 100 employees or as many as one million employees. Currently, more than 1,700 customers in 53 countries use the OrgPublisher solutions suite to visualize the most important assets they have in their organization – the people.

OrgPublisher 6 New Features And Enhancements:
  • Thin Client –. When OS standards, browser plug-ins or ActiveX controls are restricted, fully functional org charts can be easily viewed via a common Web browser—no client installation is necessary.
  • Web-based Administration – Administrators now have the flexibility to automate and completely administer the software through a common Web browser, from any desktop location.
  • Enhanced Format Flexibility – Information can be displayed with more flexibility in format, such as multiple columns within a box, dividing lines, icons, text placed outside of a box, distinct reporting line formats and more.
  • Smart Links – End users can easily navigate and access multiple applications or web pages from within the org chart; leveraging an organization’s existing intranet applications.
  • “Sounds Like” Searching – Searching for data, such as an employee name, can be accomplished even when the exact spelling of a name is not known!
  • PDF Publishing Format –End users have more flexibility and choice when publishing. This feature delivers a “pre-printed” output, exactly the way the publisher intended; increasing portability and integrity of the document.
  • Usage Report – Asset tracking functionality provides analysis of what features are used within OrgPublisher to enhance the Aquire team’s ability to assist our customers.
  • Conditional Formatting – Enhance understanding of org charts by customizing box formats to distinctly display Groups within an organization.
  • Unicode Support –Internationalized data from ERP and HR systems is supported.
